Kate Rosalik is a long-standing Argentine Tango Professional whose dedication to the dance spans 28 years. Kate is the owner of Tucson Tango School, LLC.
Passionately dedicated to helping people discover and deepen their love for tango, Kate Rosalik and Levi Anthony started Tucson Tango School in 2018. Levi left the partnership in March of 2025 to pursue his own path as a tango teacher. Kate continues to run the school with collaboration from multiple tango professionals, and offers private lessons, group classes, workshops. Kate is available for private parties and performances.
Kate Rosalik’s first day of tango was in the fall of 1997 when she relocated to Tucson from Michigan. She worked her way from being a diligent student to a teacher’s assistant, to teaching on her own. In 2005, she decided to pursue certification in all of the other partnership dance styles and completed a teacher training program in Tucson.
Kate's professional partners have included Homer Ladas, Erik Fleming and Levi Anthony.
In 2023, Kate and Levi's teaching and choreography skills were front and center in the production of the Noel Coward play, Private Lives. They had the privilege of being the principal choreographers for the play, and they taught the actors several complex choreographies and consulted with the production team along the way to make their visions come to life.
Kate is dedicated to a harmonious and cohesive tango community in Southern Arizona and currently collaborates with multiple teachers and organizers in Tucson. As the saying goes, "a rising tide lifts all boats". Although Kate and Levi are no longer collaborating as partners, she will be continuing to support his journey and will be cheering him on through his continued success!

Tucson Tango School's Approach
We are dedicated to teaching and growing the tango community in Tucson, AZ. We teach weekly Monday night group classes, private lessons for individuals, couples, and semi-private lessons (3 to 4 students). We are available for workshops, private parties, and we perform at corporate events.
Our mission is to spread the joy of this elegant artform to the community; not only the dance steps, but the culture, the music, and the connections that come with learning together. We love creating a fun, playful, safe and inclusive environment for learning.
Argentine Tango is known as the dance of the close embrace. It is a language of movement in which both partners are sharply aware and present as they communicate and interpret the music. Many dancers quickly become addicted to this artform, and the farther they progress, the more rewarding the connection and the mutual experience.
By learning this dance, students have noticed remarkable improvement in their balance, mobility, body-awareness, and confidence. Research studies have shown that Argentine Tango dancing can slow the progression of degenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s/dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and the harmful effects of a sedentary lifestyle (National Institute of Health).
When teaching these elements, we focus on the connection to your own body, the connection between partners, the music, and the community. There is a big difference between Ballroom Tango, Tango Choreography for the Stage, and Social Tango. We focus on social dancing in our classes, which is based on walking, along with smooth circular movements, and fun rhythms. Students who enroll in our private lessons and group classes will find themselves prepared to dance Argentine Tango anywhere around the world, including Buenos Aires!
We welcome all ages and backgrounds in our classes, and we teach complete beginners through advanced students.
We look forward to meeting you!
